I love Chick-Fil-A. They are putting in Wichita within the next 2-3 years. The problem is this: They only open 50 stores per year (I believe it is 50...maybe 100, but I think 50). SO, there are places all over the country that want them and they only do so many per year. The marketing director for Corporate Chick-Fil-A happened to be helping out in one of the newer stores in the KC area when I was there. He goes to different stores and works in them a few weeks and then moves on to a new store. Anyway, he said if you really want one in your area...no matter WHERE it is in the country, go for a guerilla marketing type campaign. Just have a ton of people start emailing on their website that you want one in your area and they will bring one to your area. They said that no city was out of the question. So, there's my suggestion for you portlanders that really want C-F-A. Just start bugging them to death!
