A shout out to my parents...
First things first: Devon - the phrase "You might find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile..." comes from a band called The Talking Heads and their song "Once In A Lifetime." It's basically a rumination of 'How did I get here?' kinds of thinking.
As for my parents - they saved us from some annoying financial problems this week. I don't often ask my parents for financial help. In fact, I avoid it whenever possible. But this month things were weird, so I asked my dad for some assistance. His philosophy: I help other people with money, so what kind of Dad would I be if I didn't help my own kids when they need it?
I'd just like to publicly say thanks. That money came in handy. It wasn't necessary, by an means, but it was definitely stress-reducing.
Life is good, neh?

I think it was necessary or we would have just sunk lower and lower as we couldn't catch up over the next couple months. Next month is yours and Caitlins birthdays. There is always something extra to spend money on so we can't get ahead.
